Description: This recording was made in the foothills of Sequoia National Park in a Blue Oak ecosystem. There are three owls calling in this recording, as well as several species of nocturnal insects. You can also barely hear traffic moving down through the canyon into Three Rivers, CA. Wear headphones for the best possible listening experience!
Species Present: Western Screech Owl (Megascops kennicottii)
Recording Equipment: Sound Devices 722 digital audio recorder; Two Audio Technica AT4022 omnidirectional microphones placed in an old binaural housing.
